The Raoul Wallenberg Lodge was officially founded on December 4, 1979 in West Berlin, in accordance with the charter of B'nai B'rith International (photo).

The 90 founding members, around 30 years young at the time, were the daughters and sons of Holocaust survivors. They committed themselves to promoting Jewish identity and preserving Jewish cultural heritage. Continuing the 180-year tradition of the B`nai B`rith order, founded in New York in 1843, our core values are the same today as they were then: charity, brotherly and sisterly love, unity.
